“All Gave Some, Some Gave All” was carved from a Paula Devereaux roughout. It stands about 11″ tall, roughly 6″ wide and 4″ deep. The plaque carries the carvings name, All Gave Some, Some Gave All. I have had this carving almost complete for a long time, I struggles with how to finish it. This carving has 2 coats Minwax 209 and 1 coat of Howards Feed-N-Wax® Wood Polish and Conditioner. I am still debating on whether to add a dark wood base. Does anyone have a thoughts about that?

“Doc” My dad asked me to carve him something for his Doctor. Hence we came up with this idea. He is carved from basswood with a cherry base. He stands about 9″ tall, is painted with acrylic paint and sealed with clear polyurethane.

“Good Times” was carved a few years back. My son and I used to spend a a fair amount of time playing pool. It was great fun. The carving is about 15″ long, 8″ deep and 9″ tall. It has all 15 balls correctly marked to play 8 ball or straight pool, each player has his own stick and there are several pieces of chalk laying around the table. The carving has a ball rack and a crutch for long reach shots. All parts are carved from basswood, painted with acrylic paint and sealed with polyurethane. All carved pieces are mounted on a mahogany base with a gloss polyurethane finish. I was lucky enough to receive a first place ribbon for this arrangement. This carving is in my son’s home.
